KARANA: Harmony in Form and Material

The KARANA Collection, created by Indonesian designer Hendro Hadinata, explores how cultural memory can be expressed through contemporary design. Inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, harmony between people, nature and spirit, the collection features three sculptural furniture pieces: the Kuta Bench, Sanur Lounge Chair, and Ubud Light. Each draws on the poetic, elongated forms of Balinese sculptor Ida Bagus Nyana, reinterpreted in sustainable American hardwoods to offer design that is both rooted in tradition and resonant for a global audience.
