Digital Media and Communications Coordinator at AHEC Europe

Location: London (hybrid working)

Hours: 40 hours per week, plus occasional events and travel 

Experience level: Junior, candidate will ideally have 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant position

Salary: £30,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience

Start date: March 2026 (TBC)

We’re looking for a creative and organised Digital Media and Communications Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our small and dynamic team and support the delivery of engaging, high-quality communications across our digital platforms.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys creating content, analysing performance, and supporting wider communications and PR activity. You’ll work closely with the Communications Manager and Director to help shape and deliver our digital presence, ensuring our content is engaging, consistent, and effective.

The role

As Digital Media and Communications Coordinator, you will work closely with the Communications Manager to support the day-to-day management of our digital channels and a wide range of communications activity. This includes:

  • Creating engaging digital content for social media, including video (such as reels), undertaking filming, editing and interviews using in-house digital equipment
  • Managing day-to-day social media activity, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to messages, and coordinating social media advertising
  • Supporting the Communications Manager and Director in developing social media and wider communications strategies
  • Formatting and distributing bi-monthly newsletters
  • Formatting and issuing monthly Market Reports
  • Compiling and monitoring monthly PR reports to track media coverage, and contributing to a bi-annual PR analysis report
  • Reviewing analytics, online monitoring tools, and PR reports to produce post-project evaluations and success reports
  • Contributing to the ongoing maintenance and development of the website to ensure an engaging and up-to-date online presence
  • Tracking and reporting on the performance of our digital outlets (including social media, website and podcast) to produce a monthly e-communications report
  • Formatting press releases and supporting the compilation of press kits to clearly communicate projects and related activity
  • Creating visually engaging presentations and marketing materials
  • Researching, identifying, and liaising with external suppliers for outsourced services such as graphic design and photography
  • Providing ad hoc administrative support as required

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a confident digital communicator with a strong visual eye, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. You’re comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and you enjoy turning ideas into engaging content.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative CloudCapCutGoogle Drive, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience creating and editing digital content for social media
  • A good understanding of social media platforms, trends and analytics
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise a varied workload

Desirable:

  • Experience working in communications, marketing, PR, or a related field
  • Familiarity with website content management systems and email marketing platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics and online monitoring tools
