THINK! Design

THINK! Design is a full-service design and creative solutions consultancy, working in the design space since 2006. The work spans large-scale installations to smaller, bespoke work in the brand strategy space. As a part of Universal Media Group, the consultancy started with projects associated with the Indian interiors trade fair Index Fairs and has been involved in design curations for this large international fair. This has ranged from façade design to curation and execution of design installations for the prestigious Index Design Boulevard.

THINK! Design is headed by Sylvia Khan, who has been a leader in the Indian design field with several ‘first-of-its-kind’ design initiatives and collaborations and has been instrumental in spreading Indian design to several cities in Europe and the Far East. The vision of the company is to create platforms for inclusive design, open to all, rather than creating ‘design niches’ which are only for the elite. The driving inspiration while being a passion for design itself, is the awareness of the all-pervasive nature of design as an entity.

Bram Woodcrafting Studio (BWS)

Bram Rouws is a carpenter, cabinet maker and furniture designer from Limoges, France. He completed his first degree in joinery when he was just 21 years old, then specialized as a Cabinet Maker. Bram later joined the renowned ‘Tour De France’ with the Compagnons, an old guild of professional master craftsmen. During the Tour de France, Bram travelled to various countries where he worked with and for different companies. He followed extensive studies in carpentry and cabinet making and, each year, had to create a masterpiece. Having completed six different masterpieces, Bram was admitted to the Compagnon guild in 2013, where he became a mentor for younger Compagnons over the next two years. The seven years of Tour de France permitted him to study and practice carpentry, to discover different cities, countries and companies, and to meet and work with a lot of people from different countries and cultures.

In 2017, Bram established the Bram Woodcrafting Studio, in Mysore, India. Specializing in customizing and prototyping solid wood products for furniture, interiors and cabins, through the years, through collaborating with numerous contemporaries, BWS has successfully designed and crafted unique pieces and spaces. At BWS, they transform an idea or concept into reality, while creating products that stay true to the principles of carpentry and geometry; crafting products for generations to come.

A company based on the principles of fair trade and sustainable manufacturing, they firmly believe that it is not only about the skills, but also the ingredients that go into the making of a masterpiece. As an artisanal workshop, with a team of makers and designers, the priority has always been to ensure that each piece that leaves the workshop is crafted to the finest build and quality. Along with innovation in engineering and craftsmanship they ensure that the craft keeps up with the times. By choosing BWS, you choose a team that is passionate about the work they do, about giving back to the profession and making a lasting impression.

At BWS, We Design, We Manufacture, We Create.
