Christoph Kurzman was inspired by the work of textile designer Jo Elbourne for his tea cabinet, taking the pattern for the graphic shaoe from a traditional Japanese technique of laying mats in tebruro- tatami. Kurzman chose to work with cherry for its subtle warmth that complemented the woven panels.
